roll cage
Built to protect. Designed to perform.
The Roll Cage forms the backbone of our vehicle — engineered to protect, perform, and endure. Designed with precision and built to perfection, it provides a rigid safety cell that ensures driver security without compromising on agility or weight. Every joint, weld, and member is optimized through CAD modeling and FEA simulations, balancing strength, stiffness, and serviceability. Our roll cage isn’t just a frame — it’s the heart of our machine, a structure forged through science, sweat, and countless iterations.

Powertrain
Where engineering meets adrenaline.
The Powertrain subsystem channels pure energy into controlled motion.
From engine selection to transmission tuning, every element is crafted to achieve maximum efficiency, responsiveness, and reliability. We focus on optimizing torque delivery, gear ratios, and weight distribution, ensuring seamless integration between the engine, drivetrain, and chassis. Each component — whether mechanical or custom-fabricated — is tested to deliver power exactly where it’s needed: to the ground, with precision.

suspension
Tuned for traction. Built for control.
Our Suspension subsystem is designed to master any terrain — balancing comfort, control, and performance. Every geometry is carefully analyzed for travel, camber gain, and load distribution, ensuring stability even under the most punishing conditions. With the perfect blend of theoretical design, simulation, and field testing, our suspension setup transforms every bump into data and every ride into performance.

steering
Engineered for precision. Controlled by instinct.
Precision is everything — and that’s exactly what the Steering subsystem delivers. Designed for sharp handling, driver feedback, and effortless control, our system integrates ergonomics with engineering finesse. From the steering column to the knuckle design, every angle and linkage is calculated for minimum effort and maximum accuracy. The result? A machine that obeys instinct — not just input.

brakes & wheels
Precision in motion. Confidence in every stop
In racing, control is power — and nothing defines control like our Braking subsystem. Engineered for stopping force, heat dissipation, and responsiveness, our braking system ensures the driver commands every second of motion. We combine hydraulic efficiency, weight optimization, and balanced distribution to achieve smooth yet powerful deceleration. Because at Prometheans, stopping smart is just as important as going fast.

electrical
The brain behind the build. Powering precision, safely.
The Electrical Subsystem forms the nervous system of our buggy — ensuring every signal, sensor, and system operates in perfect harmony. Focused on Low Voltage (LV) systems, our team bridges the gap between raw mechanical power and intelligent electronic control. From wiring harness design and PCB development to sensor integration, telemetry, and data acquisition, every connection is built for efficiency, safety, and reliability. We power the control units, dashboard systems, and driver interface — keeping the vehicle responsive and data-driven in real time. Our LV system is the silent force that ties it all together — ensuring power is distributed smartly, data flows seamlessly, and the driver stays informed and in control.

marketing & sponsoring
Turning Speed into Stories, and Sponsors into Teammates.
The Marketing & Sponsorship Team is the voice of Team Prometheans connecting our workshop to the world. We manage the team’s social media, website, and outreach, sharing our journey and achievements with the racing community. Our focus is on building strong partnerships and securing sponsorships that drive our vision forward. From pitching to potential sponsors to collaborating with manufacturing partners, we ensure every relationship creates value for both sides. Creative, strategic, and passionate — we make sure our team stands out on and off the track.

SALES PRESENTATION
Innovative design. Strategic thinking. Market-ready vision
In the Sales Event, we step into the shoes of a company — showcasing how Team Prometheans would take our buggy from prototype to market-ready product. We develop a comprehensive business plan targeting the production and sale of 4,000 units of this year’s buggy, highlighting strategies in market positioning, production planning, pricing, and value proposition. Our approach balances innovation, customer appeal, and cost-efficiency, demonstrating that a high-performance, safe, and reliable buggy can also be commercially viable. The event allows us to pitch not just a vehicle, but a vision — showing how engineering excellence translates into business potential, and how our team thinks like both engineers and entrepreneurs.

Cost presentation
Precision in design. Discipline in cost. Professional in execution.
The Cost Event reflects the economic discipline behind our engineering. We present a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) that outlines every component, material, and manufacturing process involved in building our vehicle. Our focus is on achieving the ideal balance between performance, durability, and cost-efficiency — ensuring every rupee spent adds measurable value to the final design. Each element is analyzed, documented, and justified with a professional approach that mirrors real-world industry practices. The result is a report that demonstrates not just how we built the vehicle — but how we built it smartly, sustainably, and strategically.

MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE
Plan smart. Build better. Manufacture with precision.
The Manufacturing Excellence Event evaluates our ability to think like real-world manufacturers. We analyze an assigned subsystem in depth — preparing a complete Bill of Materials, making make-or-buy decisions, and outlining the detailed manufacturing processes for each component. We then estimate the production cost and timeline required to build n units over a given duration, applying engineering logic and practical planning to optimize efficiency and output. The event demonstrates how the Prometheans integrate design, process, and production planning to achieve true manufacturing excellence.

ENGINEERING DESIGN
Designed with purpose. Proven with logic.
The Design Event showcases the engineering thought process behind our buggy. We document and justify every design decision — from concept to component — backed by mathematical calculations, simulations, and performance analysis.
Our goal is to demonstrate how the vehicle achieves optimum performance, efficiency, and reliability through sound engineering principles and innovative problem-solving. Every specification tells a story of precision, logic, and teamwork — proving that great design is not just built, but reasoned.

CAE PRESENTATION
Analyze. Validate. Perfect. Engineering with confidence.
The CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) Event demonstrates our team’s analytical rigor. We apply detailed simulations and analysis to every engineered component of our buggy, studying how they respond to various forces, loads, and operating conditions. Through CAE, we predict performance, identify potential failures, and optimize designs before physical testing — ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency across the vehicle.

INNOVATION
Our pitch for the ultimate business idea!
The Innovation Event celebrates our team’s creativity and forward-thinking approach. Here, we introduce novel ideas and unique solutions that haven’t been seen in the ATV industry before — from design enhancements to smart engineering systems. Our focus is on pushing boundaries, solving real challenges, and redefining what a student-built buggy can achieve. Every innovation is tested, documented, and validated to ensure it’s practical, safe, and performance-driven.

MATHWORKS
Simulating Performance. Perfecting Reality.
The MathWorks Subsystem brings the virtual version of our ATV to life before it ever hits the track. Using MATLAB and Simulink, we simulate and analyze vehicle behavior to optimize every subsystem — from suspension dynamics to braking performance. Our work involves tuning PID controllers, visualizing vehicle response graphs, and processing real test data to refine designs with precision. These simulations give us deep insights and validation long before fabrication or on-track testing, helping us save time, minimize risk, and push performance to new limits. By bridging data, design, and real-world behavior, this Subsystem ensures that every decision we make is backed by numbers, not guesses.

SUSTAINABILITY
Measure. Mitigate. Move responsibly.
The Sustainability Event focuses on minimizing our team’s environmental impact through data-driven engineering. We begin by identifying and quantifying the carbon footprint of our entire design and manufacturing process — from material sourcing to fabrication. Based on this analysis, we implement targeted strategies to reduce emissions, such as optimizing resource use, improving energy efficiency, and rethinking component manufacturing methods. Our goal is simple — to engineer performance while leaving a lighter footprint on the planet.
